Daylife Publisher Suite
The Daylife Publisher Suite was an innovative modular cloud publishing product for web publishers to easily create curated and automatically updating content, data, and user engagement widgets. It was an elegant and economical SaaS solution to the technical and editorial challenges digital media editors faced collecting, packaging, and delivering the most up to date information. Daylife's suite of embeddable JavaScript components presented content based on combinations of page context, editorial customization, and curation.
A few examples: 1) Galleries, in a variey of layouts, that automatically update with the latest photography relevant to the content of page; 2) News widgets that present headlines and snippets from related articles and links to their sources around the web; 3) A bottom of an article flyout widget that recommends another article based on its relevance to the current article, limited to the publisher's approved sources.
As Client Services Manager I was product expert, evangelized its benefits, presented sales and training demonstrations, served as Sales Engineer and Technical Account Manager, shepherded integrations, collected user feedback, ensured client satisfaction, and supplied the voice of the customer to the product team.
This experience was directly applicable to my career as Product Manager, particularly when adapting the Reuters White Label Web Publishing Platform to include live updating embeddable JavaScript modules for the Olympics and the World Cup.
